Short term care is often prescribed post-hospitalization, when individuals still need medically related assistance to continue their recovery. Our clients include premature infants returning home from the NICU, adults recovering from surgery and seniors healing after a knee or hip replacement.
Short Term Nursing Services Provided:
- RN or LPN care
- Case management by a professional medical social worker
- IV, oxygen or catheter care
- Respiratory treatments

My baby is almost ready to come home for the hospital. Can you have a home health nurse available to help us quickly?
Salus Home Health of Salt Lake City can meet with you at the hospital very soon after you or your pediatrician contacts us to schedule a consultation. Once the free, no obligation consultation is complete, we can coordinate home health services as soon as your baby is discharged home.
Will home care nurses ever ask me to pay them directly?
No. Salus Homecare of Salt Lake City only handles billing through our main office. This is to provide convenience and safety for our clients and ensure accuracy. If you are ever asked to pay one of our nurses or therapists directly, please contact our office immediately.
Does your agency provide backup care when necessary?
Yes. Our nurses are asked to provide us with advance notice of any planned absences so we can coordinate backup care quickly. Additionally, we have care managers who remain on call 24 hours a day and seven days a week so that we always ensure our clients have the coverage they need if an emergency should arise.
