A child’s complex health needs can be difficult to manage independently, and this can make it challenging to keep a child safe and comfortable at home. Rather than go it alone, many families benefit by hiring Salus Homecare of Utah’s private duty nursing team. Taking this step empowers you to offer your child the highest quality experience, improving outcomes and enhancing quality of life for your family.

Pediatric private duty nursing care is appropriate for many children with complex medical needs, disabilities or technology dependence. These services empower families to keep their children at home while still providing the specialized medical care necessary to optimize quality of life and improve comfort, safety and health.
Many health insurance plans cover private duty nursing services, and Salus is a preferred provider for most private insurances. Salus is also a preferred provider for the state Medicaid program and its managed care programs, the Medically Complex Children’s Waiver Program (MCCW), and the Technology Dependent Waiver (Travis C. Waiver). Our team can assist you in determining eligibility and filing any necessary paperwork.
Pediatric private duty nursing services are ordered by your child’s physician. The physician’s order will address your child’s specific medical condition and needs. Once this order is received, your child will be evaluated by our team where we will discuss needs and goals. When this assessment is complete, we will be able to best determine the specifics of your child’s plan of care.
