Can I request physical therapy if my doctor has not ordered it?
Yes, but there are significant financial advantages that come with receiving a doctor’s order first. Most insurance, Medicare and Medi-Cal will not cover any type of in home therapy without a doctor’s order, so it is often best to consult with your physician and get his recommendation
