Hospice’s physical support makes it easier to appropriately manage pain, discomfort or symptoms that are often associated with a terminal illnesses. While this type of support is not curative, it does enhance quality of life and empower many patients to feel more independent for a longer period of time.

Physical support care standards are extraordinarily high, and this service is monitored by Salus Homecare’s hospice medical director and a registered nurse to ensure your safety and comfort are always protected. Additionally, we maintain close communication with your personal physician to ensure your care plan is as effective as possible.

After the original nurse visit, it didn’t seem necessary for nurses to take my blood pressure & temp. The physical therapist was excellent ( I’ve had PT before). He knew his stuff, and has really helped me with my overall aches & pains by giving me exercises and advise to correct bad posture.

Salus Homecare of Los Angeles employs highly skilled hospice professionals and provides ongoing training to keep them abreast of the latest pain management and comfort techniques. Our professionals use many different strategies to keep clients comfortable including administering doctor prescribed medications, using heat or cold compresses, providing massage and assisting with other prescribed therapies.

Yes. Many patients remain independent with all or most of their activities of daily living for a time, and we encourage that as long as it remains safe. Should your care needs change, our Los Angeles caregivers are available to provide standby care or full assistance with any activities.

Yes. Your doctor is and will remain an important part of your care team. Salus Homecare’s Los Angeles hospice nurses and social workers will work closely with your physician and follow all recommendations that he gives in order to provide you with the highest quality, most comfortable care.
