Palliative curative care makes it easier to focus on your treatment without feeling overwhelmed by difficult to understand choices or pain and discomfort. While palliative care will not offer a cure for your disease, it does compliment curative treatments and can enhance your overall health and wellbeing.
Curative care is monitored closely by the Salus Palliative Care medical team to ensure the safety and comfort of each patient we serve. Additionally, we maintain a close relationship with your personal physician and strive to work together to ensure your care plan supports your needs and your goals.

Our caregiver was wonderful, helpful, and couldn’t have been more helpful in all needs that could have been provided!

My 104 year old mom was on both Salus Home Health and Salus Hospice, and the care she received was extraordinary. I have dealt with a number of healthcare companies in the two and a half years of my mom’s declining health, and Salus was by far the best. The Home Health nurses were very caring and compassionate, and they called before and after every visit with my mom. I could reach them on weekends, and at first I was disappointed to learn that they would not be the same nurses when my mom transitioned to Hospice. Well it turns out the Salus Hospice nurses were just as caring, always available, and took wonderful care of my mom up until the minute she passed. That can not be an easy job, and I have nothing but praise for everyone at Salus. Thanks for your care and help.

The decisions you make regarding curative treatments are for you to make. They will not exclude you from receiving palliative care. However, when curative treatments stop and patients have a life expectancy of six months or less, many patients shift to hospice care. Salus Homecare provides both palliative and hospice care, making the transition easier.
Palliative care focuses on the entire person and never just the disease. Social, psychological and emotional needs are all important components in enjoying a better quality of life. Physical health and emotional health are also interconnected, and emotional distress can manifest and physical discomfort. Emotional care compliments physical care and can make the side effects of treatments easier to cope with.
Yes, managing the side effects of curative treatments can give you more energy and stamina and keep you stronger and more confident as you’re moving about your day and performing various tasks. This often enhances overall quality of life.
