Our family was thrilled with the service provided by Salus caregivers to our uncle. For one year he received care twice a day primarily to manage his medications. The caregivers were always so concerned about his safety and sometimes had to search his residency building to locate his whereabouts when he had stayed too long at an event. The caregivers always returned on their own to do a "double-check" if they thought he needed extra help. They also took good care of his dog, which meant the world to our uncle. For the last two weeks of our uncle's life, we chose Salus Hospice to assist him. The entire staff treated the family like we were as important as our uncle. We had constant support for his needs, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I was the primary family caregiver for our uncle. When I left for a 5 day vacation his health went downhill far more rapidly than anyone expected. Salus was calling me and reporting the situation immediately. Within minutes Cindy, the head of Hospice, had arranged for 24 hour care until I had returned home. No extra contracts or long documents to fill out...she just got the job done with effectiveness and compassion. All the Salus Hospice personnel in the South Orange County area know each other and work together as a team, which made life for us so much easier. We highly recommend Salus home health care to everyone looking for caregiving needs for a loved one.
