Thank you to everyone at Salus--those in the office, and the wonderful care providers you secured--which helped care for my dad in his final weeks. I don't think many can imagine what it's like to have to plan for a loved one's care until you're actually faced with it - and everything seems to be moving at such a fast-pace (and homecare is just one of several items). I want to thank you for the personalized care I felt we received. There was no point that I felt this is any bit of a "transaction" but just simply the need to do right, and with care and empathy for my family's situation. Having gone thru this experience, I've realized the two most important things in securing care for a loved one is to ensure there is trust, transparency and responsiveness at the administration level, and at the provider level to have reliability, family fit and that "hard to put into words" connection with the patient - in this case, my dad. (While such a short time in the grand scheme of years, the Salus caregivers, who cared for my dad during his final 3.5 weeks, made such an impact on him--caring for his needs and comforting him thru his final journey; we are grateful she was part of his story and she holds a special place in our hearts.) All of you at Salus provided this experience to us and made it so much easier in every way - when first setting up for hospice, throughout my dad's final weeks and even checking in on us after he passed. Thank you again for all that you do every day. Should any new potential client want a reference, I'd be more than happy to talk about our experience.

How can our family thank you enough for the fabulous celebration you participated in and made so special. We want to thank the social worker for sharing celebration ideas which made dad's 94th birthday extra special. The balloons and patriotic plaque were very festive and the red, white and blue crocheted lap blanket was just perfect for Dad. It is so much appreciated. We also want to thank the volunteer coordinator for providing the veteran certificate, poem and flag pin and for arranging to have the volunteer, who is in the Navy, drive up from San Diego to recognize and discuss Dad's military service in the Navy. It was great for all of the grandchildren to hear some of those stories. They loved it!! We so appreciated that the Navy volunteer would take a Saturday to drive up to Orange County and spend time with a WWII vet and his family and be such a wonderful part of his celebration. His conversation with Dad was so engaging and we could see Dad going down memory lane as he recalled different aspects of his military service with the volunteer. The volunteer who sung and an absolutely gorgeous voice, her talented gift which was shared with all of us was pitch perfect and was the icing on the cake for our celebration. The patriotic songs that she sung were just the right selection and done so professionally. It meant a lot to our parents. Dad still has a huge smile on his face as he recalls all of the details of the celebration that touched his and all of our heart so deeply. We thank you for the generosity of your time and talents to be such an integral part of Dad's 94th birthday celebration. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

There were many restrictions during COVID that limited visits at the assisted living facility. At 100 years old, my mom needed more help than was permitted by family.
