Although our concerns were different (my mother's: financial and my family's: the quality of care) you were able to meet everyone's needs and expectations. Our caregiver was not only wonderful and compassionate, but her true character was evident in everything she did and said. We were very fortunate to have been assigned our caregiver. She is an outstanding human being. Although I visited my aunt only three times while your caregiver was caring for my aunt, I talked on the phone with her hundreds of times about many things. I feel that I got to know her very well through these contacts. She always "went the extra mile" in every situation. She never shied away from doing the correct thing, no matter how difficult it was. She has an excellent sense for understanding the psychological state of a patient and cannot be bluffed or controlled. She knows when it is time to be compassionate and when it time to be firm. She has a wonderful sense of humor and is just a fun person to be around with her upbeat personality! She is an excellent teacher. When she arrived on the scene, my aunt was not taking good care of herself at all. She was not cooking for herself properly nor was her personal hygiene good. Your caregiver cleaned out my aunt's outdated food and began cooking nutritious food for her. She patiently taught and retaught her about her personal hygiene to prevent infections. Her help in all these areas was invaluable; both my daughter and I will be forever grateful to her for lessening our work burden. She has become a friend for life for my aunt, my daughter and myself.

I was very satisfied with my experience with Salus. In particular, we were so happy with the caregiver that was selected by your staff to assist my father. My father was resistant to having a night-time caregiver, but your caregiver was so gentle and attentive that within a few hours, my father was very comfortable with him and was happy to have him take care of him. The staff that I worked with on scheduling was also great and the case manager checked in periodically and made herself available to resolve issues if needed.
