I want to take a moment to commend the Salus Hospice nurse regarding my Mother's care in hospice this year. The nurse was tasked with wound care for my Mom, who was bedridden earlier in 2020 and sent home for hospice care. The nurse visited several times each week to care for my Mom. Not only was she the consummate professional at all times, she brought with her a wonderful compassionate and caring attitude. She always made her visits a welcome respite for my Mom's limited world, even though it could be uncomfortable at times for my mother due to dressing changes. The Salus nurse would painstakingly be gentle, cautious, patient, and meticulous with her care, resulting in the healing of wounds that were deemed incurable and untreatable. She also kept appraised of Mom's other health care needs, and was always on top of any issues that might arise. She never hesitated to take my calls, answering any questions I had about my Mom. My mom's nurse truly represented Salus Hospice to the highest standards possible and deserves recognition. She truly made a difference in my Mom's world, and in mine. Thank you.
